This study aims to construct a model of instruction and assessment for the Christian Thought and Modern Life class. The participants were 67 students of a medical university in southern Taiwan. Data were collected from questionnaires, learning sheets, students' reports and the teacher's classroom observation. The outcome of data analysis was presented in several dimensions as following:(1) the expectation for the course (2)the reflection on the course content (3) the student's report (4) the learning outcome (4)the suggestion for the course. It is hoped that the conclusions of this study can serve as a useful reference for instructors of general education courses for research or teaching purposes.
