資通訊科技與健康照護的相遇

Information Communication Technologies and Health Care

摘要


通訊科技與醫療科技的快速進展,已影響到醫療產業生態,例如,在資通訊科技的協助之下,使得醫療相關服務的地點,由醫療機構擴展到醫療機構之外。提供醫療相關照護服務的方式,醫病接觸由面對面的傳統方式,延伸到遠距離的虛擬方式,例如遠距離會診、遠距機器手術、遠距病理判讀、遠距生理指標監控、遠距衛教、個人化電子病歷等多元運用資通訊科技的方式。遠距照護服務可以提供使用者較佳的醫療與健康管理,目前台灣雖然有許多業者開始投入該產業,而政府也跟著推動一系列計畫,以提昇台灣民眾對遠距照護的認知。至今,卻仍只有少數使用者進行採用,成效不彰,故本研究主張應該透過對遠距照護平台有高度需求的使用者,探索他們對平台的需求,以提昇遠距照護服務的價值。

Both local and international medical service providers have been challenged by the advent and rapid development of high information and communication technologies (ICTs), along with related advancements in medical technology science. For example, the provision of various medical services has increasingly been extended from within the walls of medical institutions themselves out into clients' surrounding communities. Meanwhile, the modes of interaction between health care professionals and their clients have been extended from traditional face-to-face meetings to the virtual concept of e-health for long-distance care.In Taiwan, some health care providers have even explored the feasibility of applying the concepts of e-health communication and management to telecare services. Taiwan's government has also developed a series of early-phase protocols for these purposes. Nevertheless, before now, little evidence of the efficacy of such efforts had been presented. The present study concludes that telecare services could be promoted through better understanding of the perspectives regarding the necessity and value of the services of users who rely on telecare systems to a high degree.
