女大學生同儕間分享性和性健康相關議題之經驗:質性研究

Peer Communication on Sex and Sexual Health-related Topics among Female College Students: A Qualitative Study

摘要


近年來台灣青少年存在於傳統文化與歐美社會之多元價值中,國際研究顯示同儕間性議題的談論,有助於青少年分辨性相關的知識、態度、行為之優缺點,然而目前國內尚未出現青少年同儕性議題談論之相關研究。本研究目的在探討女大學生同儕間分享性和性健康相關議題之經驗,採質性研究方法,並以焦點團體進行質性資料收集,焦點團體進行地點為收案學校之客觀結構式臨床測驗(Objective Structured Clinical Examination, OSCE)專業教室;資料分析採內容分析法。本焦點團體於2021年5月10號進行訪談,時間為80分鐘,參與成員共5位女性青少年均就讀於台灣北部某科技大學之二技一年級生,研究結果分為三大項:一、同儕性相關議題談話內容與影響力:同儕性相關議題談話內容包括1.第一次發生與同儕談性的時間點與感受、2.對性的探索、3.性相關重要事件及性經驗分享、4.與誰談性?在哪裡談性?同儕間性議題談話的影響力包括1.比較婚前性行為優缺點、2.對性行為產生多方矛盾想法、3.傾聽旁人經驗對自己影響有限;二、同儕性談話中的性態度與性知識:1.性的定義與性行為前題、2.性知識來源、3.談論性話題的態度;三、約炮與交友軟體的突起及使用。大學生對於性充滿好奇,而相關知識多藉由同儕談話互動得知,本研究有助於理解大學生同儕間性和性健康相關之話題交流內容及影響,進一步有助於提供大學生更適切之性健康衛教介入。

In recent years, adolescents in Taiwan have valued the diverse culture about sexual issues. Studies have shown that peer-to-peer discussion can help adolescents understand the cultural difference in sex-related knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors. However, there is no relevant research about these topics in Taiwan. The study aims to explore the issues among female college students sharing their sex and sexual health-related experiences. We adopted a qualitative research method, gathered data through the focus group, and analyzed it with the content analysis method. The focus group was conducted in the specialized Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) classroom of the collection school on May 10th, 2021, for 80 minutes. Five participating members were first-year female students of a two-year technical school in northern Taiwan. The study results were divided into three main categories: 1. The content and influence of peer-to-peer conversation on sex-related issues. The conversation contents include: (1) The time point and feel of the first sexual conversation with peers; (2) The exploration of sexuality; (3) Sharing sex-related important events and sexual experiences; (4) With whom to talk about sex? Where to talk about sex? The conversation influence includes: (1) Comparing the advantages and disadvantages of premarital sex; (2) Having multiple contradictory thoughts about sexual behavior; (3) The influence of listening to others' experiences; 2. Sexual attitudes and knowledge in peer-to-peer conversations: (1) The definition of sex and the premise of sexual behavior; (2) Sources of sexual knowledge; (3) Attitude to talk about sexual topics; 3. The rise and use of dating APP software. College students are curious about sexual issues and can get more knowledge and information by discussing those issues with peers. This research expects to help understand content and impact on sex and sexual health-related communication among college students and further provide them with more appropriate sexual health education intervention.
