論《易傳》詮釋卦爻辭之方法、效用及形式

摘要

本文的研究範圍集中在《易傳》對「卦爻辭」的詮釋上，以《易傳》中對卦爻辭進行詮釋的〈彖〉〈象〉〈文言〉〈繫辭〉四傳為探討核心，其研究焦點乃在以下幾個問題：《易傳》詮釋卦爻辭的方法為何？《易傳》詮釋卦爻辭的方法分別能達致哪些詮釋效用？《易傳》使用這些詮釋方法時是透過何種論述形式加以呈現？《易傳》採用的論述形式與其發揮的詮釋效用間是否有其關聯？而外在的詮釋形式是否有助於傳達《易傳》內在的思想義理？本文嘗試透過細膩的歸納與分析，並參酌前人為中國經籍所提出的經典詮釋理論，對《易傳》詮釋卦爻辭的「方法」、「效用」、及「形式」作出整全的觀照。故從中析出具代表性的詮釋方法數種，並探究《易傳》如何透過此數種「詮釋方法」通往「意謂的闡明、蘊謂的挖掘、哲理的創發及《易》象的詮解」四種層面的「詮釋效用」，繼之並對「詮釋形式」作觀察，首先歸納出《易傳》詮釋卦爻辭常用的三種論述形式－定義式、串講式、及自行論述式，而不同的論述形式各有其利於發揮的詮釋效用，其次並就《易傳》對卦爻辭的詮釋範圍之不同作出分析，見出詮釋範圍的選取之差異乃有其內在的思想意義。本文一方面以較宏觀的角度討論上述問題，將各傳視為一個整體，歸納其所表現出的詮釋方法、效用及形式；另一方面亦於整體的歸納中，細別各傳在詮釋方法、效用上的偏重，及詮釋形式上的不同特色。並希冀能透過此研究，彰顯出《易傳》詮釋在中國註疏傳統中的典型性及特殊性。

The paper studies into the interpretation of Yizhuan's commentary on Gua yao ci and attempts to present the methodology, utility and form of Yizhuan's commentary on Gua yao ci through the exploration of the following questions: What is the interpretive methodology of Yizhuan's commentary on Gua yao ci? Which respects or what kinds of interpretive utility have this methodology reached? Any particular formula or type of writing form has Yizhuan applied to present this methodology? Is the formula or writing form, if any, related to the interpretive utility? Also, does the external interpretive form help to convey the internal thoughts and reasoning of Yizhuan? The paper attempts to establish (or display?) a holistic perspective of the methodology, utility and form of Yizhuan's commentary on Gua yao ci through detailed and deliberate induction and analysis. Moreover, the paper refers to the interpretive theory of the Chinese classics proposed by senior scholars. Through this research, the paper also intends to manifest the typical and particular position Yizhuan's commentary has attained in the Chinese commentary tradition.
