英語閱讀策略對學習動機影響之研究

The Study on the Indirect Effects of Reading Strategy for English Learning Motivation

摘要


近年來,英語教學的模式不斷改變,其中測驗制度與升學就業市場對語言能力認證的重視等因素,產生關鍵的影響。本研究針對閱讀策略對學習動機進行相關研究,研究結果如下:1.英語能力檢定考試與學測可以引導學生改變閱讀策略與學習態度,藉這些閱讀策略與學習態度之修正,學習動機獲得正面提升。2.閱讀策略可以修正學習態度,並且提高學習動機。3.英語能力檢定考試與學測的認同度越高,學習動機越高。而閱讀策略來自於其提高閱讀障礙之克服能力與經驗,使英語閱讀理解能力增加,提高英語理解自信心,從而改變學習態度,進而改變學習動機。故整體而言,本研究確立閱讀策略包括對學習態度與學習動機的直接作用與間接作用。故本研究針對實務界的教學論點,提供閱讀策略教學的正面意義。

This paper use path analysis to explore the indirect effects between reading strategy and learning motivation. The findings of this study demonstrate the positive effect of what students perceive the importance of passing the regarding English test, leading the students to change their reading strategies or learn the new ways in reading strategy. Accordingly, the teaching of finding the appropriate reading strategy should be weighted more than ever. Based on our conclusions, the linkage between reading strategy and learning attitude also express the positive correlation. It confirms the importance of building up the appropriate reading strategy. Subsequently, the whole findings of the model could be referred as the basements of following researches. Therefore, the positive indirect effects of reading strategy could be weighted more in our system of English teaching.
