Based on Technology Acceptance Model, this study tends to discuss the moderating effects of past experiences on the behavioral intention of the elderly applying virtual reality recreational activities. Total 240 elderly are tested with the model after experiencing 10-week Wii. The results show that the past experiences appear negative moderating effects on the perceived usefulness and the attitudes of the elderly applying virtual reality recreational activities, revealing that the richer past experiences would reduce the effects of perceived usefulness on attitudes. Furthermore, the research results also present that attitudes would be significantly affected by perceived usefulness, but not perceived ease of use. Such a result shows that the elderly perceive the importance of activities, far exceeding the ease of use, for the health and interpersonal interaction. Besides, it is also proven that attitudes would affect behavioral intention. The conclusion, suggestions, restrictions, and future directions are further proposed at the end of this study.
