The change of population structure with aging population has big impacts on all aspects of country development in Taiwan. According to the rapid aging population of Taiwan, Council for Economic Planning and Development predicts that aging population will increase to 14 percent by 2017 and head into an "aged society". As this trend emerges, Taiwan government has responded to providing health care policies or strategies for the future development since 1994. But overall types of care provided by older adults, the similarity is that they do not vary by gender in substantial ways, especially by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender elders. Therefore, this article aims to discuss on LGBT caring issues and hope to raise awareness about the concerns of older LGBT people. Then the government and health care institutions can improve the quality of services and supports offered to older LGBT people.
