臺灣男同志跨國伴侶關係發展經驗之研究

Study on the Developmental Experience of Transnational Gay Couples in Taiwan

摘要

本研究旨在探討臺灣男同志跨國伴侶關係的發展經驗以及他們在關係中的知覺與想法。研究以敘事探究派典之精神為基底，採用立意抽樣與滾雪球抽樣交錯進行的方式，招募到四位與不同國籍交往長達3年以上的研究參與者，並使用半結構式的深度訪談進行資料搜集，最後將資料依照主題分析方法進行歸納與分析。
　　研究發現可分為三個部分，如下逐一呈現：
一、與過去男同志關係歷程研究比對，發現跨國男同志伴侶與本國的男同志伴侶在關係階段層面大致呈現一致的歷程，但若細究每階段中之經驗內涵，便能看到許多迥異之處。
二、臺灣跨國男同志伴侶關係的發展經驗可分為「相遇相識」、「相熟相愛」與「相磨相惜」等三個經驗區塊。並在三大經驗區塊中看見許多因跨國男同志伴侶特性而生之獨特經驗。
三、跨國男同志伴侶在選擇進入關係時的知覺：（一）受到感性驅使；（二）本身在外地工作故選擇與外國人交往；（三）想到國外生活。進入關係後面對文化差異的知覺：（一）語言的隔閡成為浪漫的距離；（二）文化的陌生帶來生活中的樂趣；（三）文化差異使兩人隔層紗。且發現隨著臺灣同婚專法通過，漸漸帶動開放的風氣，使許多原本在國外定居的男同志伴侶有回台定居的打算。
　　最後依據本研究之結果，給予跨國男同志伴侶、心理助人工作者與未來研究者一些具體的建議。

This study aims to explore homosexual partnerships between Taiwanese gays and their oversea partners and their perceptions in relationships. The study is based on the paradigm of narrative inquiry. The semi-structured in-depth interviews were used for 1 session with 4 Taiwanese gays who have oversea partner. The interviews were transcribed verbatim and analyzed inductively based on the theme. On the basis of the purpose of this study, we concluded some findings as follows:
First, comparing with past studies on the developmental process within male homosexual couples, the developmental process within homosexual partnerships between Taiwanese gays and their oversea partners show a consistent process. However, by examining the empirical connotation in each stage, there are many differences in their relationships.
Second, the developmental experience of homosexual partnerships between Taiwanese gays and their oversea partners were divided into three parts: “to Meet-to Know”, “to Familiarize-to Love”, and “to Quarrel-to Cherish”. Then the study shows that the characteristics of Taiwanese gays and their oversea partners contribute to many unique experiences in their relationships.
Third, before Taiwanese gays and their oversea partners decide to be together, their perceptions include three parts: “Driven by emotion”, “Choose to interact with foreigners while working abroad”, and “Thinking of living abroad”. Then the perception of cultural differences includes: “Language barrier become romantic distance”, “Unfamiliar culture bring the enjoyment of daily life”, and “the cultural variation makes vague beauty between their opinion”. With the passing of same-sex marriage law in Taiwan, it gradually improves public morals. Therefore, many gay couples who originally settled abroad have plans to return to Taiwan.
Based on the results, this study develops several concrete suggestions for homosexual partnerships between Taiwanese gays and their oversea partners, psychological counselor, and future research avenues.
