This study takes six department stores in Kaohsiung and uses Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process, (FAHP) as method to explore key success factors for department store's use of experiential marketing through the application of wireless local area network (WLAN). Results of this study are that the deployment of wireless local area networks is helpful for enhancing experiential marketing, and the key success factors are, in sequence of importance, marketing and promotion, infrastructure and business model. This study also finds out that WLAN is beneficial to experiential marketing in aspects of ”sense”, ”feel”, ”relate”, ”act” and ”think”. The conclusion points out that using the potential of WLAN to develop and rejuvenate experiential marketing to win customers' hearts, is a major business strategy for department stores to succeed in the context of keen competition today.
