The study aims to explore the relationship between the social participation, organizational playfulness, and functional deprivation of the elderly population. The survey was conducted with the purposive sampling method and structured questionnaires, and a total of 293 valid samples were collected for regression analysis. The results found that: 1. The higher the degree of social participation of the elderly, the significantly reduced the functional deprivation. 2. The higher organizational playful of the social group organizations that the elderly participate in, the more significantly their sense of functional deprivation can be reduced. 3. Organizational playfulness will significantly strengthen the influence of social participation on the sense of functional deprivation. This study suggests that government health and welfare units should pay attention to and construct an operational function that promotes the participation of the elderly in community activities. As well as the social welfare units should emphasize the organizational playfulness when operating elderly community groups or designing activities.
