摘要

「經典詮釋」是研究中國經學的一個重要課題，從字詞訓詁、文獻分析到義理闡釋，歷代以來的學者，都曾有許多精彩的意見提出。其中，相當值得注意的學者，即是宋代的大儒－朱熹。本文將從朱子的「讀書法」切入，說明朱子的讀書法下的解經活動，並非只有詮釋技術的方法問題，他其實受到歷代聖賢之心的召喚，所以，本文主要是將討論重心放在朱子解釋經典的「信念」層面及其相關問題上。首先，將從正反意見的陳述，說明近來朱子經典詮釋的兩種觀察進路。其次，則由朱子論「道統」的說法，分析其可能之儒學圖像（包括其核心概念與理論間架）與讀書法之間的關係，藉以說明其詮釋的立場等問題。最後，則檢討朱子的經典詮釋之得與失。

The interpretation of the classics is an important area of study in research on the Chinese classics. Over the ages, scholars have put forth fascinating interpretations of the classics using a variety of methods and approaches, including the compilation of glossaries and commentaries, textual analysis and analysis of the doctrines. The interpretations of the classics and methodology formulated by Chu Hsi, a great Confucian scholar of the Song Dynasty are particularly noteworthy. This article explores Chu Hsi's Du Shu Fa (讀書法) for interpreting the Chinese classics and shows how Du Shu Fa was not only a methodological technique for interpreting the classics. Chu Hsi had been inspired by the works of the great sages throughout history. Thus, this article primarily focuses on Chu Hsi's beliefs behind his interpretation of the classics. This article will first delineate two different perspectives and approaches to Chu Hsi's interpretation of the classics formulated by scholars in recent years. Secondly, this article delves into the Confucian imagery present in Chu Hsi's discussions of Confucian orthodoxy including the relationship between Du Shu Fa and the core concepts and theoretical framework of Confucian orthodoxy. Finally, this paper analyzes the assets and drawbacks of Chu Hsi's interpretation of the classics.
