摘要

此篇短文意在思考個人如何可以講述關於家鄉的記憶、傳統和歷史。關係到個人對記憶享有的特權、挪用傳統的權利與參與建構歷史的需要等問題。提出了為何一個對「家鄉」有特權的人，能夠讓他人也可以知道他/她對「家鄉」的認識。本文認為，讓局外人了解局內人對家鄉的感情，能夠擴大局內人對「家鄉」的視野，因此，也將他/她們的地方史融合到更廣闊的歷史之內。即使家鄉的景觀隨時間而改變，更加廣闊的觀點有助對家鄉的見地和記憶的持續。

This short paper reflects on how one might speak about memories, traditions and the history of one's hometown or village. It raises questions about the privilege of memory, the right of appropriating tradition and the need for participation in constructing history. It asks how a person who has privileged access to ＂home＂ might be able to convey his or her knowledge of it to other persons. It argues that the ability to convey the sense of home to outsiders expands the insider's vista of ＂home＂, thereby blending his or her local history into more extensive histories. The broader view allows insights into one's hometown or village that will allow memories to persist even as the visible landscape changes with time.
