"Good Habits, Good Life" Preliminary Results of the Youth Experiential Camp for Habitual Domains

According to the survey results of the Ministry of Education for student Internet usage in 2014, students spend too much time on the Internet, and the higher grades of students, the higher rate of Internet addiction. There are almost ten percent of elementary students and twenty percent of junior high and senior high school students who are in the high or severe Internet addiction risk groups. Professor Yu, founder of the Habitual Domains theory, felt that it is getting worse for the young people to be the "Heading-down group". The problem not only causes young students not concentrating in classes, weakens interpersonal relationships, but also affects their physical and mental health. He particularly organized the "Good Habits, Good Life" youth experiential camp for Habitual Domains, hoping that young people can correct their bad habits of "Heading-down group" playing cell phones, build up good habits, increase learning motivations, and improve leaning effects. As a result, they can become responsible, self-disciplined, self-confidence, creative thinking, and cooperative young people. Course contents are based on Professor Yu's theoretical framework of the Habitual Domains theory and the dynamic human behavior and decision-making patterns. After two terms, the results show that the "Good Habits, Good Life" youth experiential camp for Habitual Domains has achieved its preliminary effects. Students are aware of the "Heading-down group" problem and are willing and motivated to take actions to improve.
