“生命科學概論-以生物產業觀點為出發”一項通識教育課程之改進

"Introduction of Life Science-A Bioindustrial Point of View"-A Course under the Project for the Enhancement of General Education

摘要


本研究以連續兩個學期獲得教育部『個別型通識教育改進計畫』所補助的「生命科學概論-以生物產業觀點爲出發」通識教育課程爲研究對象,透過在課程進行時蒐集之質與量(問卷調查)的資料來分析執行成果。研究結果顯示該課程確實已普遍受到個案大學學生的認同,學生對於學習過程及滿意度都有正面的評價,而且課程的開設足以強化教育部推廣通識教育的目標及精神。研究結果亦顯示,在通識教育課程中,設計「多元化教學活動型態的課程」用以激發學生自省和思辨的能力,及培養大學生跨領域學習的理念,確實是一種適合的教學策略與學習管道,也爲通識教育改進尋找到一創新機制。

The course ”Introduction of Life science-the bioindustrial point of view” was granted by the Project for the Enhancement in General Education by Ministry of Education twice in 2004 and 2005. Questionnaires were used to survey both quantitative and qualitative feedbacks from students during the course. Our analyses showed that students generally appreciate this curriculum. On the study process and the degree of satisfaction, the students all had the positive appraisal. Moreover, the goals of promoting general education by the Ministry of Education were accomplished in the course. By designing a general education curriculum with learning pluralism that not only stimulate the ability of self-reflection and speculation, but also hatched the passion of inter-discipline study of our students, we have found an ideal strategy for general education courses. This course has opened a new window in enhancing general education.
