SCH Protocol for Wireless Microsensor Networks
摘要
Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is a collection of sensors nodes in a wireless setup which monitors the surrounding physical and environmental conditions. Low- Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy (LEACH) protocol is an energy-efficient hierarchical routing protocol for WSN but have some shortcomings. To overcome the shortcomings of LEACH, many modifications have been proposed in research studies over time. This paper presents a new protocol named as Specified Cluster Heads Protocol. Extensive simulations have been done in Matlab and the results show that with the proposed algorithm, the system is about 50% to 60% more energy-efficient as compared to the LEACH protocol.
