Spinal synovial cyst is a rare etiology that cause Lumbar radiculopathy. Most cases of low back pain with severe radiculopathy are seen in young middle-aged patients. They usually present with prior history of severe exertion and a majority of cases are diagnosed with acute prolapse of intervertral disc in the lower spinal segments. However, the elderly population who present with similar symptoms are sometimes attributable to different etiologies, such as infection and tumor metastasis. Owing due to the widespread use of MRI, additional etiologies can be diagnosed more frequently. In this report, we present three cases of spinal synovial cysts that are originated from facet joints.
