Owing to the stiffener plates subjected to static, periodic or random loads are commonly used in the structures of ship, vehicle and airplane. Basing on the nonlinear finite element code ABAQUS, this investigation focus in the problem of dynamic responses of a grid stiffened plates subjected to an impulse. This study presents the effects of vibration resistance between normal plate, unidirectional stiffened plate and grid stiffened plate. Besides, we investigate the effects of the dimensions and types of stiffener to plate under impulse. The study attempts to supply a reasonable comprehensive account, which will be used in designing ship hulls so as to enhance resistance to impulse wave.
