The study aims to explore the characteristics of Sun Moon Lake cross-lake swimmers' sensation seeking motives and activity involvement, as well as some of their differences between the two factors, based on the swimmers of the 26th Sun Moon Lake International Swimming Carnival, 2007. Using the convenience sampling method, the researcher issued to the racers 600 questionnaires, 367 of which has returned valid. Other statistical methods employed in this study include the Canonical Correlation. The study has shown marked differences in various aspects of the scores of the two factors, while the factors themselves are also closely interrelated, suggesting a linear relation between them.
