Existing land management systems in government land management agencies only deal with parcel attributes transferred from land title offices and their own property attributes collected under the jurisdiction. No cadastre maps are integrated with existing government land databases and no GIS tools are used to analyze land locations. The objectives of this system are to use GIS technology to integrate cadastre maps, land registration data, land value data, urban planning reference maps, administration maps, and government land management databases, and to apply GIS graphic and analysis capabilities to establish an effective GIS model for government land management. This project has integrated the existing government land databases managed by Finance Bureau of Kaohsiung City Government and National Property Bureau of Ministry of Finance, and also created GIS land management functions. These GIS functions can be used to monitor and analyze the spatial and attribute data of government lands. Hopefully the efforts would assist in achieving the high efficiency of government land management.
