摘要

歷來的紅學評論家多以同情、悲憫、甚或讚嘆的角度來看待《紅樓夢》中的諸多自殺事件，尤其對於鴛鴦、司棋、尤三姐三人的自我了結性命予以高度的憐憫與肯定，認為他們或者追求心靈的自由，或者追求愛情的堅貞，而不惜以死亡戰勝環境，使自己的精神得以永生。本文之目的在於以人生哲學的角度，重新析探《紅樓夢》中的諸多自殺事件，找出自殘者之所以決定提前結束生命的原因、自殺後所帶來的結果，藉由諸多面向的探討，重新給予人物更中肯的評價，並探究出生命真正的價值在於於困境中展現生命的韌性與強度。

The critics used to comment on the suicidal events in ”The Dream of Red Chamber” with sympathy and appraisal. Especially the suicides of certain female characters are highly recommended. Their actions in committing suicide are interpreted as a way of liberating the soul, seeking love forever, and conquering the environment by death to achieve an eternal life. This paper aims to analyze ”The Dream of Red Chamber” from the perspective of philosophy of man and reexamine the suicidal events. By analyzing the causes and effects of suicidal events, the researcher would like to re-evaluate the characters that commit suicide and conclude that the true value of human life is shown by the strength and tenacity in facing obstacles.
