最早《詩經》白話註本的形成及其內容宗旨探論:錢榮國《詩經白話註》研究

摘要


本文探討錢榮國《詩經白話註》的形成與晚清教育思潮及癸卯學制的關聯性,並歸納分析此書的寫作宗旨、註解表現及其教學價值。考察此書的誕生背景,發現此書的編寫形式及內容大體上遵照癸卯學制規定,另外,當時流行的白話教科書影響了經典註解採用新式方式,此書不但使用白話,也可見用西學解釋《詩經》的註解。分析錢榮國的註解表現,其中,於註解時補充因果邏輯說明、歸納同類字詞解釋、對《詩經》做全詩、全書的整體性解釋等,種種方式皆可見《詩經白話註》一書對於「啟發童蒙,使無師可自通」所下的努力。錢榮國視《詩經》可「修身、齊家、治國」的傳統教化觀念,與其使用白話文註解《詩經》的開創之舉正好呈現強烈對比,反映晚清士人面對「西學東漸」時,所突顯的中學、西學的混融。
