The Research suggested it is necessary to separate the area of the Choanchiu dialect in Hsinchu city as an urban district and Siangshan area. It remains a gap to stull so far. This study takes it as our topic to upgrade the phonetical record about Choanchiu Dialect in Hsinchu. In order to have a further analysis, this study tries to answer the research question of whether it maintains a difference in Tsuanntsiu Dialect between urban district and Siangshan district. Also, if it remains, pointing out all of them. The results imply that there is not a significant difference across those who are older generations. Except for the type of ku-ku, subjects living in the Shangshan area prefer to pronounce it as [ɨ] in a high percentage. As for younger generations, subjects grow up in the Shangshan area maintain a few features in the Choanchiu dialect. By comparison, subjects of urban district use more general accent in their speech. This difference of phonetic representation in younger generations probably leads by the usage of Taiwanese in the family field.
