The Study of Aromatherapy in Autonomic Nervous by Rough Set Method

Aromatherapy is the utilization of extracted aromatic plant essences to achieve treatment outcome. Aromas are transmitted to the central nervous system via the skin and olfactory system. The aromas are diffused in the blood and circulate to various organs and have significant benefit in preventing and treating central nervous system diseases. This study analyzed the physiological changes of the autonomic nervous system after aromatherapy. Besides analyzing the effectiveness of aromatherapy; the effects of the associated factors in affecting the outcome has been calculated and Matlab toolbox had been used to aid the complex computation. First of all, a real autonomic nervous system, and present the influence factor and the effects factor, which include heart rate(HRT), standard deviation of all normal to normal intervals(SDNN), total power(TP), low-frequency power(LF), high-frequency power(HF), and pressure Index(PSI) in human. Second, we preview the mathematics model of rough set model. Third, we also use Matlab GUI toolbox in order to support the calculation of complex processing and verification the huge data. As the result, the study in the paper is not only can provide the significant of each factor to PSI, but also can be used as a reference in future studies.
