慢速壘球的發展現況及未來展望之探討
Slow Pitch Softball Development Current Conditions of Softball and Will Prospect in the Future of Study
摘要
慢速壘球是台灣非亞奧運項目中普及性很高的運動，全台各地不論是標準壘球場、學校、河濱草地，都可以看見從事慢壘運動的民眾，不分職業、性別、年齡，享受這項全民運動。到底慢速壘球是如何在臺灣地區萌芽、發展呢？研究者透過史料的收集，以文獻分析針對組織來探討台灣地區慢速壘球的歷史發展。研究結果：慢速壘球運動在臺北地區經由莊洋文先生的努力，於1983年辦理第一次正式的比賽，並於1989年邀請陳河東先生籌組「臺北市體育會慢速壘球委員會」，終於有了第一個專職推展該運動的組織，也奠下良好的基礎。而王世忠先生於1984年開始在中部地區不遺餘力的推展，也是促成該項運動能迅速發展的原因。之後1995年「中華民國慢速壘球協會」的創立，逐漸邁入蓬勃發展階段，在該協會的輔導協助下，臺灣地區含外島共有二十八個地區協會或委員會組織，共同負責推廣慢速壘球運動。

Slow Pitch Softball association”, exceed gradually into booming development stage, under guidance help of that association, Taiwan region contains outlying islet to totally have 28 region associations or committee organization, the joint responsibility expands Slow Pitch Softball exercise.
