Development and Possibility of Taiwanese Literature as an Object of Sociology of Works

摘要

本研究將以批判回顧的方式，討論台灣文學界中現有的「文學社會學」研究，以及社會學界裡的文學研究，試圖描繪出目前向灣「文學社會學」的研究圖像。本研究將分為三個部分來處理：一、台灣文學界中的「文學社會學」研究如何處理文學作品，此部分將以碩、博士論文和學術著作為主，如陳俊榮、須文蔚等；二、台灣社會學家如何處理文學作品，如林芳玫、蕭阿勤、趙剛等；三、將西方「文學與社會」的結合分為五種方式：文學反映社會、文學生產社會、文學傳播論、理論批判和文學場域理論。如果從這五種方式來看待上述兩個領域，所展現出來的研究思路，可以發現台灣文學界中的「文學社會學」，其實著重在探討文學作品的外部生成、作家和作品的接受史，鮮少同時兼顧分析文學作品，而社會學家則試圖在社會結構和文學作品之間搭起分析的橋樑。除了分析現有文學社會學的研究方法，本研究希望能夠反思「文學作品」作為作品社會學研究範疇之一，能夠對作品社會學做出怎樣的貢獻，以及開展出何種可能的發展方向。

This paper presents the existing ＂sociology of literature＂ in Taiwanese Literature and literary research in the sociology from the critical review. By means of these discussions, it intended to portray the full picture of sociology of literature in Taiwan. This article will be divided into three parts: the first part is how literary researchers deal with the literary works through academics publications, such as Chen Chun-Jung, Hsu Wen Wai and so on The second part is how the sociologists in Taiwan deal with the literary works, such as Lin Fang-mei, Hsiau A-Chin and Zhao Gang, etc. Third, the paper will combine ＂Literature＂ with ＂Society＂ in the West and then divide into five ways: literature reflects the society, literature produces the society, literary communication theory, critical theory and literary field theory. If we examine previous two areas from the five ways, we can find that the so-called ＂sociology of literature＂ in Taiwanese literature actually focuses on exploring external operations instead of analyzing the contents of literary works. Simultaneously, sociologists are trying to bridge the gap between social structure and analysis of literary works. In addition to analyzing the existing research methods of sociology of literature, the paper hopes to reflect on ＂literary works＂ as one of the research objects of sociology of works, to make some contribution as well as to point out what the possible direction of development to this field.
