Exploring the Initiative Learning of Cultural Heritage Education from the Legibility of Traditional Garden Perforated Window Patterns

以花窗圖案的易讀性探索文化遺產教育之主動學習

摘要


The cultural heritage education of traditional gardens has not aroused the enthusiasm of the public to take the initiative to learn heritage knowledge. This article takes the perforated window pattern of the Lin Family Mansion and Garden in Taiwan as the research object, investigates the influence of the legibility of patterns on the public's active understanding of heritage knowledge. Firstly, we summarize the public's ways of understand the auspicious culture in perforated windows through interviews, and then use a questionnaire to test the helpfulness of different pattern interpretation methods. Finally, it was discovered that the public recognized the auspicious cultural themes about perforated window patterns through "the feature representation method, the implicit meaning method, the homophony method, and the pictogram understanding method", and different methods affected the degree of interpretation. Finally, the study provides suggestions for the heritage education of traditional garden perforated windows.

傳統園林的文化遺產教育沒有調動公眾主動學習遺產知識的積極性。本文以台灣林本源園邸花窗為研究對象,調查圖案的易讀性對公眾主動理解遺產知識的影響。首先通過訪談歸納公眾了解花窗吉祥文化知識的途徑,然後採用問卷測試不同圖案解讀方式對公眾的幫助性。最終發現公眾通過「表號法、寓意法、諧音法、象形法」等方式識別花窗圖案的吉祥文化主題,並且四種解讀方式對公眾的幫助程度不同。最後研究為傳統園林花窗的遺產教育提供了建議。
