99年全國大專校院運動會報紙報導性別呈現之分析

Using a Content Analysis to Examine the Gendering of Newspaper in 2010 National Intercollegiate Athletic Games

摘要

運動場域對於性別平等之爭議一直存在著，越來越多人關心運動媒體在報導運動新聞是否有做到性別平等。因此本研究之目的在於探究臺灣報紙對99年大專院校運動會報導內容在不同性別呈現之差異情形。研究方法則針對中國時報、自由時報、聯合報及蘋果日報等四報刊載99年全國大專校院運動會賽會期間相關新聞報導爲研究對象，透過描述性統計分析(descriptive statistic)、t檢定分析(t-test)以及卡方檢定分析(Chi-square)分析報紙報導的現況、重視程度以及內容取向之差異情形。結果顯示，女性報導面積、則數多於男性；而在重視程度方面，無論性別皆無頭條新聞，且平均報導面積亦無顯著差異；在內容取向方面，性別定位、強調身體外貌則無顯著。

There has been a controversy over the gender Equality in athletic field. More and more people concern about the issue whether this news which is reported by sport media is equal to both genders or not. Thus this research aims to discuss the differences that the Taiwan newspapers reported the college athletic meet about the sexes. By analyzing the four reference documents-Chinatimes(2010)、Libertytimes(2010)、United Daily News(2010)、Apple Daily (2010), they reported the news about college athletic meet as the object of study. Through Descriptive Statistical Analysis、T-test、Chi-square, analyze the differences of states of the newspapers、the subjects、and the values. This study indicates that the context and the quantity of news about female is more than those about male. And the value in both sexes, there are no front page news. Also, there is no significant difference about the content except for the news about non-sports. There is no significant difference about gender identity and physical appearance.
