《慧琳音義》轉注說初探

On the Study of Zhuanzhu in ＂Hui-Lin Yinyi＂

摘要

轉注是研究文字學理論的重要課題，歷來學者依據《說文》「轉注者，建類一首，同意相受，考、老是也」之說，提出不同看法，可謂眾說紛紜，莫衷一是。近人聶宛忻、黃仁瑄依據慧琳《一切經音義》【註1】所言「轉注」辭例，提出「轉注是在轉注語原的基礎上加注意符的一種造字方式；轉注字就是在轉注語原的基礎上加注意符而成的文字」，觀點雖有新意，然既違文字流變之旨，亦未必符合慧琳原意，是以本文略舉《慧琳音義》辭例，評論聶宛忻、黃仁瑄訛誤之處，至於通盤慧琳原旨，則有待他日。

The Zhuanzhu（轉注）is the most important subject in the Philology studies. In the past, researchers regarding to this question proposed various views; therefore, they did not reach an agreement. Nie, Wan-Xin（聶宛忻）and Huang, Ren-Xuan（黃仁瑄） proposed a new opinion from ＂Hui-Lin Yinyi＂（《慧琳音義》）, but they have violated the basic theory which did not conform with the original meaning of ＂Hui-Lin Yinyi＂. Consequently, this paper will point out the brief from the original book to explain the mistakes from the inference of Nie, Wan-Xin and Huang, Ren-Xuan. It will also show the possible meaning of ＂Hui-Lin Yinyi＂ simultaneously.
