自然環境教學對低口語能力幼兒溝通表現影響之研究

The Effects of Milieu Teaching on Communication Performance of Young Children with Low-Verbal Ability

摘要


對低口語能力幼兒而言,由於缺乏口語表達能力,導致人際溝通和同儕互動問題,溝通困難也使其處於嚴重異常行為的危險中,引發各種不適當溝通行為,以及造成個體生活和學習適應困難。因此,本研究以3名之低口語能力幼兒為對象,運用單一受試實驗研究之跨受試多探試的實驗設計,以自然環境教學為自變項,受試的溝通表現為依變項,探討自然環境教學對其溝通表現的影響。經過為期5個月的研究介入,結果顯示低口語能力幼兒在適當主動溝通行為及適當被動溝通行為的次數均有顯著的增加,同時,不適當主動溝通行為及不適當被動溝通行為的次數則有減少的趨勢。另一方面,從質性分析中發現,自然環境教學對受試者低口語能力幼兒的改變包括增加溝通互動的等待時間、使用正確手勢/肢體的次數增加、主動使用溝通圖卡或溝通板的次數增加、挫折容忍度提高。

The effects of milieu teaching on communication performance of young children with low-verbal ability were evaluated in this study. There are three young children with low-verbal ability in this study. The single subject experiment design, multiple probe across subjects approach was adopted, with milieu teaching as the independent variable and the numbers of variable communication performance as dependent variables. After 5 months, we found that the number of appropriate active communication behaviors and appropriate passive communication behaviors of the tested subjects increased significantly, while the number of non-appropriate active communication behaviors and non-appropriate passive communication behaviors deceased significantly with milieu teaching. On the other hand, according the qualitative analysis, we found that milieu teaching also showed promising signs on improving other communication performance. Improvements on frustration endurance, and the willingness of active communications, and the appropriateness of using communication boards, as well as the waiting time during inteaction.
