摘要

台灣是缺乏天然能源的島國，幾乎所有的能源都仰賴進口。因此積極開發能源，降低對進口能源的依賴是非常重要的。有關核能發電廠方面，安全上仍存在一些問題。民意調查的結果顯示，有6成以上的民眾支持核四廠停工。面對危險的核能發電廠，最安全的的對策是廢止核能發電廠。若廢止核能發電廠，短期間內使用石化燃料發電，接著積極開發再生能源，電力不會不足，而且能降低成本。只有廢止核能發電廠，人民才能安心生活。

An island devoid of natural energy, Taiwan depends mostly on imported one. Therefore, actively developing its sources and reducing reliance on the imports become very important. There still exist some safety concerns regarding all the nuclear power plants throughout the island. More than 60 percent of the residents here support the decision to shut down the fourth nuclear power plant, according to a recent survey. When it comes to nuclear power hazards, the safest way is surely to terminate the operation. If it were so, power generation by fossil fuel would take the place temporarily, followed by the active development and utilization of renewable energy. The shortage of electricity will not be a major cause for concern, and the cost lower. Only the abolition of all four nuclear power plants can people here live without much worry.
