運用園藝治療員工協助方案介入精神科工作人員提升正向情緒、人際互動及成就表現之成效

Using Horticultural Therapy to Help Psychiatric Department Staff Members Improve Emotions, Interpersonal Interactions and Work Performance

摘要


將園藝治療活動納入員工協助方案,採主動介入方式,讓精神科工作同仁藉由園藝活動來減壓,並藉由團體討論提升問題因應能力。針對台灣中部某區域醫院精神科病房工作人員為研究對象,先以園藝治療福祉效益量表、Zung壓力自評量表、過勞自我檢測量表、SCL-90症狀檢核表統一施測,篩選出適當成員十人,納入園藝治療團體,每週一次,進行六週活動結束後對成員施予後測。採SPSS統計套裝軟體21.0版進行分析,以成對樣本t檢定,統計考驗顯示水準α值設為0.05,達到顯著差異。結果顯示在參與六週園藝治療團體活動後,有助提升成員正向感受、成就表現及社交互動,可降低強迫性、焦慮、憂慮、敵意等負面情緒。故建議機構在設計員工協助方案時能將園藝治療作為員工協助方案的參考一環。

The psychiatric department at our hospital in central Taiwan Introduced therapeutic horticultural activities into its employee assistance programs, providing- participating employees an opportunity relieve some of their stress. In addition, we conducted group discussions aimed at improving their ability to cope with problems. To test its effect, we administered the Horticultural Therapy Well-being Scale, Zung Self-Rating Depression Scale, an overwork self-evaluation scale, and the Symptom Checklist 90R (SCL-90) to 10 participants in the horticultural therapy group before their entry and after six sessions. Result were analyzed SPSS 21.0. The significance level (α) was set at 0.05. After 6 weeks of participation in horticultural therapy group activities, the participants exhibited greater degrees of positive feelings, an improved sense of achievement, and increased social interactions. The participants had relief from negative emotions, including obsessive-compulsiveness, anxiety, worry, and hostility. Horticulture therapy can be incorporated into employee assistance programs to maintain or promotes mental and emotional well-being of employees working in high-stress environments.
