運用代間學習提升日間照顧中心老人人際互動之研究

Employing intergenerational learning to enhance the interpersonal interaction of elderly in day care center

摘要


代間學習可使年輕世代和老年世代聚集在一起,分享經驗和相互學習,讓兩個世代彼此瞭解與認識。國內目前代間學習多半以社區老人為實施對象,在社區或學校中進行,而將日間照顧中心作為主要的代間學習則尚未實行。本研究以日間照顧中心為研究場域,探討代間學習對日間照顧中心老人人際互動的影響。採單組前後測之實驗設計,使用立意取樣,以高雄市某日間照顧中心10位老人為研究對象,並邀約高雄市某社區幼稚園10名大班幼兒共同參與。討論主題為食、衣、住、 行,共計5週,每週固定時間舉行,約一小時,人際互動功能量表作為測量成效的評估工具。研究結果發現代間學習對老人人際互動有顯著性提昇,有助於幼兒與老人的相處,並且讓老人吸收不同世代的文化內涵。

Intergenerational learning allows the young generation and the old generation to better understand each other. However, in Taiwan, intergenerational learning usually happens in the community or school. The purpose of this study is to explore the influence of an intergenerational communication program on the social skills of the elderly in a day care center. This pre-experiment study adopted the one-group pretest-posttest design. 10 elderly persons were recruited from a day care center in Kaohsiung and 10 kindergarten children were invited to participate in the study. The intergenerational learning was designed in a contrastive way. It was conducted once a week, with an hour for each of the total 5 sessions. Repeated measures were performed before and after the intervention. Data was collected by the interpersonal function scale. The study concluded that intergenerational learning is useful and valuable for improving interpersonal relationship functions for the elderly in a day care center.
