A traditional acupuncture therapeutic approach passed down from family tradition involves searching for a tender site representing an a shi (ouch) point along the spleen channel located on the posterior border of the tibia close to the bone between San Yin Jiao (SP6) and Yin Ling Quan (SP9). This acupoint offers excellent efficacy for the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders such as stomach duct pain, distention, gastroenteritis. This is an easily applied acupuncture therapy that will satisfy both clinical practitioners and their patients.
