探討頭皮針治療失智症（Dementia）之臨床配穴研究

失智症（Dementia）是現代全球常見的疾病，是後天性的智能障礙，智力、記憶與人格的整體性障礙，但不會影響到意識；「年齡」是失智症最大的危險因子，根據國外的統計65歲以上的人口中，失智症病人約佔3%；台灣的統計65歲以上的人口中，失智症病人約佔5%，推估2050年台灣將有超過三分之一是老年人口（35%）。失智症患者從發病到死亡一般病程約8到10年，部分可長達15年甚至20年。雖然目前對此病的了解越來越多，但仍無法有效預防與治療，僅能以藥物、職能…等治療，稍微減緩早期病人的病情惡化速度而無法治癒。臨床上頭皮針是常用於治療失智症的方法，而頭皮針的門派眾多，各家治療失智症的配穴亦有所異同。本文主要是探討頭皮針治療失智症（Dementia）之臨床配穴研究，簡介失智症的定義與病因，失智症的流行病學，失智症的預防保健，常見頭皮針主要流派各家針法摘要，常見治療失智症的頭皮針配穴，期使臨床醫師對失智症的治療，更加善用頭皮針，使療效更佳，給予病患更好的治療與照護，並減輕家屬、社會及國家的負擔。

Dementia is a common disease in the modern world. It is an acquired cognitive disability that affects intellectual function, memory, and behavior, but spares consciousness. ＂Age＂ is the greatest risk factor for dementia. According to statistics from abroad, dementia patients will account for about 3% of the world population over the age of 65. And based on statistical data for Taiwan, dementia patients currently account for about 5% of the population over the age of 65, and it is estimated that by 2050 more than one third (35%) of Taiwan's population will be elderly. The disease course for dementia patients from the onset of disease until death generally ranges from an average of 8 to 10 years, with some patients living as long as 15 to 20 years after onset. Although there is a growing amount of research and understanding about this disease, it still cannot be effectively prevented and treated. Western medicine offers limited options for the treatment of dementia, with pharmacotherapy and memory training only able to slightly slow down the deterioration of patients in the early stages, but cannot provide a cure. In Chinese medicine, scalp acupuncture is a method often used to treat dementia. There are many schools of scalp acupuncture, with each having their own specific acupoint combinations for the treatment of dementia. This paper investigates the scalp acupuncture acupoint combinations that are commonly used clinically in the treatment of dementia and the main schools of scalp acupuncture, along with an introduction to the definition and etiology, epidemiology, and preventive care for dementia. This information will help clinical practitioners make better use of scalp acupuncture and provide more effective treatment and care for patients with dementia, which will reduce the burden on patients' families, society, and the nation.
