To explore the relationships among job stress, gender discrimination and career change tendency, this research targeted the employees of the hot spring hotels in the famous hot spring sites of Central Taiwan, including Ku-Kuang, Lu-Shan and Tung-Pu. A sample of 309 hotel workers completed a self-reported questionnaire asking them to rate, on a five-point scale, their perceived level on each of 36 items which covered overall stressfulness of the job, perception toward gender discrimination and the tendency to career change. Personal information was also collected. Using SPSS package, the result of variance analyses show: 1.There are significant differences emerging between the certain dimensions of job stress, gender discrimination, and career change tendency with personal characteristics. 2. The tendency of 'to change profession' is significantly higher than that of 'to quit the job'. 3. Job stress has significantly negative influence on 'to remain'; otherwise, 'interpersonal relationship tension' demonstrates positive effect over it. 4. Job stress is also found positively influencing 'to quit' tendency. 5. Gender discrimination has positive effect on 'to quit' tendency as well. Findings from the research have implications for the individual and the employing organizations.
