中部地區某科技大學新生體適能評估研究

Physical Fitness of University Freshmen in Central Taiwan

摘要


本研究目的是希望藉由大學新生體適能檢測評估,瞭解大學新生體適能現況並與教育部常模比較,結果將作為體育課程編排與教學之參考。以1310位大學新生為研究對象(男生522人,平均年齡18.56±0.59歲;女生788人,平均年齡18.44±0.56歲),體適能檢測項目有:坐姿體前彎、一分鐘屈膝仰臥起坐、立定跳遠與男生1600公尺、女生800公尺跑走等,測驗資料以SPSS for windows 10.0套裝統計軟體處理,結果以描述性統計並與教育部常模比較。結果:一、體適能檢測除了男、女生一分鐘屈膝仰臥起坐結果較優於常模外,其他各項檢測結果平均比常模差。二、男生各項體適能檢測結果明顯隨著年齡增長而下滑的趨勢。結論:大學新生體適能普遍不佳,在未來體育教學中,應加強體適能概念與體能訓練,改變教學方式,如樂趣化教學、資訊融入問題導向教學策略等等,以提高學生對體適能的學習態度與教學成效。體育室應儘速擬訂學生體適能改善計畫,在體育課程教學中,給予學生運動處方並培養規律運動習慣,改善學生的體適能水準,進而達到健康促進的目標。

Purpose: This study was designed to understand the physical fitness among freshmen in university. Methods: The participants included 1310 freshmen (522 male students with mean age 18.56±0.59 years and 788 female students with mean age 18.44±0.56 years). The physical fitness testing items included body mass index (BMI), sit and reach, 1 min sit-ups, standing long jump and 1600/800m run/walk. Results of each item were compared with the individual percentile norms of the Ministry of Education in the academic year of 2007. Data was processed by SPSS for windows 10.0 system and analyzed using the descriptive statistics. Results: 1. Except 1 min sit-ups, the performance of the other items in male and female freshmen was worse than the norm. 2. The performance of sit and reach, standing long jump and 1600/800m run/walk in male freshmen was declined with age. Conclusion: Comparison of the physical fitness norm with the same age students in Taiwan, the level of physical fitness in freshmen was lower than the same age group in Taiwan. Educational intervention of physical fitness is helpful to enhance physical fitness among the students. The physical education teachers may design fun teaching, problem-based teaching strategies to help students to do exercise. Department of physical education should provide prescription for the student exercise and developing regular exercise habits.
