Future imagination is recognized as one of the most important individual competences while dealing with the unknown challenges. Fostering future imagination competencies and to design the curriculum and teaching approaches for future imagination are the bourgeoning interests in many countries all over the world. Through analyzing previous literature along with the teaching experience collected from several universities and elementary schools, the current study is aimed at exploring the content and process of future imagination in education. It is expected that the results from this study can provide a conceptual foundation for future research, and thus is able to develop teaching guidelines to implement future imagination in education in Taiwan.
