Community tourism is different from mass tourism. Community tourism is based around local unique cultures as the main tourism resource, and local residents are highly related with its development. Therefore, it is necessary to rethink the tourism impacts from resident-oriented perspectives on rural communities instead of using expert-oriented or tourist-oriented perspectives on mass tourism. The purposes of this study are to explore the community residents' perceptions and imaginations on community tourism development, and to understand local residents' expectations on future community tourism development. A case from Yongan Community in Taitung, the total of 18 residents is invited to participate in this study. Participants advocate the community tourism development should be based on the traditional agriculture, and the traditional good practices of the local culture should be sustained.
