家長對於同理心數位繪本選擇之個案研究

A Case Study of Parents' Choice of Empathy Digital Picture Book

摘要


在資訊科技興起之後,憑藉著其迅速及便利的特性,並搭配具多種感受的視聽效果,使得數位繪本的發展越趨興盛。而數位繪本正逐漸融入於學習環境,並在幼兒的教學活動中占有重要地位。在幼兒的成長過程當中,情緒領域為幼兒發展的重要目標之一,對於人格的社會化程度具有關鍵性的影響,如以同理觀念為例,除了對同儕之間的相處造成影響之外,甚至還可能對認知與身體能力產生問題。而繪本的閱讀與創作,已被證實能解決幼兒同理心的發展問題,使其能友善對待不同條件的人,然而對於幼兒繪本的選擇通常來自於家長。家長會以什麼原因選擇繪本?對於家長會選擇同理心的題材會是什麼?針對以上探討,本研究藉由資訊科技,創作出以聽障者故事為題材的幼兒同理心數位繪本,並運用半結構式訪談,以個案式探究深入了解繪本選擇者及伴讀者的幼兒家長會選擇此繪本的原因,以及應注意的關鍵要素。研究結果指出,在繪本選擇上,家長會注重在繪本中的設計及故事性的詮釋,因而在設計層面,音效、繪畫風格以及所選擇的呈現媒介,如能搭配戲劇性並適時改變節奏,同時在溫暖及柔和的圖像中加入互動,會增加家長對於繪本的喜好度;而在題材層面,家長相信如果故事具備連貫、邏輯性,可以讓幼兒模擬情境,產生換位思考的角色身分,可以讓家長更容易接受故事的劇情。以上之發現本文將提供給創作者以及後續研究者參考。

After the emergence of information technology, the development of digital storybooks has become more and more prosperous due to the rapidity and convenience of information technology and digital storybooks' multi-sensory audiovisual effects for users. Furthermore, digital storybooks have been gradually integrated into different learning environments and played a critical role in children's learning environments. During children's development and growth, emotion is one of the most crucial targets that will significantly affect their degree of socialization. For instance, children's concept of empathy will influence their interaction with peers and the failure of acquiring this concept might damage their cognitive and physical abilities. Contrarily, reading and creating storybooks have been proven to be effective to correct children's development of the concept of empathy, leading them to treat people from different backgrounds equally and friendly. However, parents tend to be the people who choose storybooks for their children, and the reason why parents choose certain books is rarely discussed. The present research intends to discuss the aforementioned topics with the aid of information technology, creating a digital storybook that surrounds the story of hearing-repaired people and the concept of empathy. Additionally, a semi-structured interview was administered to the parents to discover the reason why they decided to choose certain books. The analyses indicated that parents would pay attention to the design of digital storybooks and the interpretation of stories in the aspect of digital storybooks selection and they would regard the media that convey sound effect and painting style highly in the aspect of design. Changing rhythm with the storyline and adding interactions within the warm and harmonious images were considered to be the major preferences behind parents' selection of certain digital storybooks. Parents also believed that they could accept the storyline more easily if the story is cohesive and logical and the characters in the story enable children to visualize the scenario and think in other people's shoes. These findings will be provided to the creators of digital storybooks and the following researchers for their references.
