International students' learning satisfaction and its associated factors in Taiwan

台灣地區國際學生的學習滿意度及其相關因素之探討

摘要


International students studying in foreign countries encountered a variety of challenges which affect their learning satisfaction. With empirical data and analysis, this study investigated international students' satisfaction and its associated factors in Taiwan. The research results revealed that international students in Taiwan, in general, have quite a high level of learning satisfaction. Significant factor associated with the learning satisfaction of international students is Chinese language level, but not gender, continent of origin, academic major, the length of time staying in Taiwan or educational level. The results of the study contribute to the understanding of international education and assist educators to provide evidence-based orientation to enhance the learning satisfaction of international students.

國際學生在外國學習會遇到許多挑戰而影響他們的學習滿意度,透過實證資料的收集及分析,本研究擬探討台灣地區之國際學生的滿意度及其相關因素。研究結果顯示,大致上,台灣地區之國際學生擁有高度的學習滿意度。與國際學生學習滿意度具重要相關的因素是中文語言程度,而非性別、母國別、與他們停留在台灣期間的長短、專攻學門或教育程度。本研究結果有助於對國際教育的瞭解,也能協助教育者提供有證據依據的定向教育,來提高國際學生的學習滿意度。
