The Logit model is employed in this study to examine the current situation and the impact of electronic commerce at the Taiwanese firm level, using data from the manufacturing survey of 2001 Industry, Commerce and Service Census. The empirical results show that the technology level is whether internal R&D or external purchased technology is important factor of adopting electronic commerce. The more the skilled labor, the firm size, advertisement intensity, per wage and per fix capital is it, the more of adopting electronic commerce. Then, the industry and the district factor are also important.
