Quick spiking as the core of collectively cooperative tactic is used by almost every modern volleyball team. It not only enhances the power of attacking but also brings considerable difficulties to the defensive side. How to defend or weaken the powerful Quick spiking launched by the opponent has become an urgent problem in volleyball defense. This article discusses the defensive methods for the quick spiking tactic from three aspects including serving, blocking and back-row defending, and provides specific training protocols as references for volleyball trainers.
