A successful transition from adolescence to adulthood is the key to life development. When juveniles eventually leave the placement institution to pursue a life outside, they face numerous significant challenges. However, the lack of education and preparation and assessment index for independent living and track with guidance of independent living adaptation of return to the community regarding how to successfully adapt to life upon leaving the placement institution places these adolescents at a significant disadvantage. The objective of this study is to develop independent living services in the placement system. This study also analyzes the influence of independent living services on forming self-efficacy in adolescents, under internal and external forces. Finally, this study presents a discussion on related issues and proposes suggestions regarding the current conditions in Taiwan.
