摘要

本文針對物質文化研究領域，透過文獻的收集與分析，嘗試爬梳出目前台灣相關研究的發展狀況，從如此的整理中，可以發現：物質文化研究的跨領域特性，以及物質文化研究議題的多元性，從文化人類學、博物館學到文化研究、環境心理學及產品設計學，植基於不同學域的研究取向或有不同，但可以肯定的是：物件已經普遍成為人類文化中一個重要的表徵。而從設計觀點來看，這多個相關的學域可依物件的生命週期─設計、製造、行銷、消費、使用、留存─之時間軸做一個排序，從中可看出個別學域主要關注的範圍，以及其間多有重疊的關係，若能依此順序整合各個學域來對物質文化議題進行全面性的探討，或許將可對物件與人的關係有更深入、更廣泛的看法，而這也是研究者後續努力的目標。

This article is aimed at the area of material culture research through collecting and analyzing the documents and tries to interpret the recent development of related research in Taiwan According to the arrangement, the feature of crossing field in material culture research and the diversification of its themes were figured out. From cultural anthropology, museology to culture research, environmental psychology to production design, although the research directions from different areas are not the same, but it is sure that Things has generally become an important characteristic in human culture. From the point of design, these related areas could be sorted by life cycle of Things - design, manufacture, sale, consumption, use and capture, its time axle is as a sort. It shows the main ambit, which is followed with interest by different areas, and the overlapped relations among them. If this order can be followed to combine each area and to discuss its overall theme of material culture, more details and general ideas about the relationships between human and Things could be reached, and it is the goal of researchers to keep working on.
