The purpose of this research is to study leisure attitude and leisure motivation with university students in Tainan as subjects. Sixteen hundred (1,600) surveys were distributed, and 1,321 valid surveys were returned for a rate of 82.56%. The data was analyzed by statistical analysis, one way ANOVA analysis, and canonical correlation analysis to obtain the following results: 1. Different gender and average academic grade of the subjects exhibited significant differences in leisure attitude. 2. Different gender, average academic grade and residence location exhibited significant differences in leisure motivation. 3. Canonical correlation coefficients of two sets of linear combination of leisure attitude and leisure motivation exhibited significantly correlated.
