The purpose of this study was to understand the effects of physical fitness intervention combined with dietary guidelines on overweight female adolescents aged 15-18. Thirty-seven subjects with BMI≧23 selected in the experiment attended an 8-week weight control program included diet cognition and physical fitness curriculums. Data were collected both at pretest and posttest. The data was measured by items such as obese index, physical fitness, body circumference and blood biochemical readings. The data were analyzed by using software SPSS for Windows 10.0 to set up files and to do statistical analysis. The statistical methods are included mean, standard deviation and paired-samples t-test. The findings of this study are as follows: (1) Subjects' obese index was significantly improved by physical fitness exercise intervention and dietary guidelines. (2) Subjects' physical fitness was significantly improved by physical fitness exercise intervention and dietary guidelines. (3) Subjects’ body circumference such as chest perimeter, waistline, buttocks and shank circumference were significantly improved by physical fitness exercise intervention and dietary guidelines. But subjects' upper arm circumference and thigh circumference were insignificantly improved by physical fitness exercise intervention and dietary guidelines. (4) Subjects' blood biochemical readings still maintain the normal value range by physical fitness exercise intervention and dietary guidelines. This study conclusion gets involved in 8-weeks weight control program included diet cognition and physical fitness curriculums on overweight female adolescents aged 15-18 to reduce the weight, to promote cardio respiratory fitness, strength endurance and flexibility, etc. and to improve the circumference body. In the meanwhile, this study also expects to help teenage overweight girls to control weight, to sculpture body, to have the best healthy fitness, to set up self-confidence, to improve self-respect and to improve their quality of life.
