This study aimed to understand students' in junior college motives for playing softball. Researcher used ”The survey of students' in junior college motives for playing softball” collecting the data, and the samples of this study are those who playing slow pitch softball in Asia University and Feng Chia University. The data analysis methods include: demographics, t-test, and point-biserial correlation, and all being worth by α =.05 is a standard. The findings are as follows: 1. Participates in the student being in the majority by the male student; Grade by the third year majority; Participation population by Asia University majority; By not participates in the school slow rampart team to be in the majority; cost of each month under 1,000 majority. 2. Students' first motive was ”healthy need”, and the second was ”social need”, and the third was ”sense need”, and the forth was ”achievement need”.
