棒球選手知覺運動動機氣候與競賽壓力因應策略之相關

The Relationships between Perceived Motivational Climate and Coping Strategies of Competitive Stress among Baseball Players

摘要

本研究目的在於：一、比較業餘甲組與高中棒球選手之知覺運動動機氣候與競賽壓力因應策略之差異情形。二、探討業餘甲組與高中棒球選手之知覺動機氣候與競賽壓力因應策略之相關情形。本研究之參與者為業餘甲組棒球隊11支與高中第一級棒球隊16支，業餘甲組平均年齡為20.69±2.02歲、平均球齡9.72±2.46年，共192人；高中隊平均年齡為16.83±.95歲、平均球齡6.90±1.59年，共251人。以知覺運動動機氣候量表及競賽壓力因應量表為研究工具，統計方法為獨立樣本t考驗及典型相關分析進行資料處理。所得資料經統計分析後，獲得下列結果：一、業餘甲組與高中選手在「工作取向氣候」、「尋求社會支持」、「強調光明面」、「隔離不受影響」、「逃避因應」方面達顯著差異。二、經典型相關分析得知，業餘選手在典型相關方面：有二個典型功能達到顯著，第一個典型功能顯示高工作取向氣候與低自我取向氣候組型與「增加努力與決心」、「尋求社會支持」、「強調光明面」、「隔離不受影響」、「主動因應」等五種競賽壓力因應策略有正向的關係。第二個典型功能顯示高自我取向氣候與低工作取向氣候和「發洩情緒」、「尋求社會支持」、「充滿期盼的想法」及「逃避因應」四個競賽壓力因應策略有正向相關；高中選手在典型相關方面：有二個典型功能達到顯著，第一個典型功能顯示高工作取向氣候與低自我取向氣候組型與「增加努力與決心」、「尋求社會支持」、「強調光明面」、「隔離不受影響」、「主動因應」、「充滿期盼的想法」等六種競賽壓力因應策略有正向的關係。第二個典型功能顯示高自我取向氣候與低工作取向氣候和「發洩情緒」及「逃避因應」二個競賽壓力因應策略有正相關。研究者除了對結果進行深入討論之外，並對未來研究方向提出可行的建議。

The purposes of this study were (1) to compare the differences between amateur and high school Baseball players on perceived motivational climate and coping strategies; (2) to investigate the relationship between amateur and high school Baseball players on perceived motivational climate and coping strategies. Statistics of independent t-test, and canonical correlation analysis were applied in this study. The subjects in this study were chosen from players of 11 amateur team(Amateur Baseball League)and 16 high school Baseball teams(High School Baseball League).The mean age of the amateur teams were 20.69±2.02 years, whereas the mean age of the high school teams were 16.83±.95 years. After receiving the informed consent, Participants were asked to complete a questionnaire assessing their perception of motivational climate, and coping strategies of competitive stress. The results of indicated that, first, There were significant differences between amateur and high school Baseball players on ”perceived task-orientation climate”, ”seeking of social support”, ”emphasis bright side”, ”separated not to be affected”, and ”avoidance”. Secondly The results of canonical correlation analysis indicated that Amateur players who appeared high task-orientation climate and low ego-orientation climate were positively associated with ”active coping”, ”seeking of social support”, ”emphasis bright side”, ”increasing effort”, ”separated not to be affected”. The second canonical function indicated that high ego-orientation climate and low task-orientation climate were positively related to ”seeking of social support”, ”wishful thinking”, ”venting of emotion” and ”avoidance”. Whereas, High school players who appeared high task-orientation climate and low ego-orientation climate were positively associated with ”active coping”, ”seeking of social support”, ”emphasis bright side”, ”increasing effort”, ”separated not to be affected” and ”wishful thinking”. The second canonical function indicated that high ego-orientation climate and low task-orientation climate were positively related to ”avoidance” and ”venting of emotion”. Implications and application were discussed and practical suggestions were made for future research.
