吳郭魚腦下垂體排卵素之測定及其週期變化

摘要


吳郭魚腦下垂體排卵素(LH)之濃度,可以大白鼠(Wistar strain)做為測定動物,應用卵巢維生素C消竭法(OAAD)施以生物定量(Bioassay)。正常吳郭魚腦下垂體排卵素具週期變化,排卵前濃度2.60 μg NIH-LH-B7/mg,排卵後降為1.14 μg NIH-LH-B7/mg,約成2與1之比。文中並討論排卵與性腺刺激素(gonadotropins)等作用機序。

Changes in level of the pituitary luteinizing hormone (LH) of mouth breeder, Tilapia mossambica, were measured by ovarian ascorbic acid depletion method (OAAD). From the above mentioned animal assay, the normal pituitary LH concentration in Tilapia mossambica is 2.60 μg NIH-LH-B7/mg pre-ovulation and declines to 1.14 μg NIH-LH-B7/mg post-ovulation. Possible mechanisms of fish ovulation are discussed.
