摘要


台灣產蝎虎與蝘蜓之爬行器官基本構造相同即趾端膨大均由成串重疊的皮瓣組成。每皮瓣外表面表皮剛毛層(Oberhantchen)發達,具長而密之剛毛,平行排列整齊,基部不分支而末端則分支再分支,末梢形成吸杯(suction cup)狀構造。皮瓣內表面表皮剛毛層亦有剛毛但很短小。蝎虎與蝘蜓爬行器官本同之處僅為剛毛分支末梢之吸杯構造蝎虎者較蝘蜓者為大。

The climbing organ in Hemidactylus frenatus and H. bowringii is the expanded digital pad which is composed of series of overlapping lamellae. The outer surface of each lamella is covered pilose oberhantchen with long setae. Each seta branches and rebranches to end finally as tiny suction cups. The only difference between this two species is the suction cup of setae. It is larger in H. frenatus than in H. bowringii.
